Transit Project Engineer @ Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. - Van Nuys, CA 91411

JOB SUMMARY Support daily field operations, working directly with design engineers, field installation /testing crews, subcontractors, vendors and General Contractor, ensuring that projects are completed on time and on budget. The position requires flexible assumption of duties to properly manage systems deployment and integration for transit systems. LOCATION Full time position located at our project office in Long Beach, CA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES Design integration between project subsystems Perform field surveys of existing systems infrastructure Perform execution of the Safety Certification processes in collaboration with the Modern Group Signals and Systems Engineering Develop the Hazard Analysis processes in collaboration with the Modern Group Signals and Systems Engineering Performance of circuit analysis for novel project design architectures Performing analysis of data collected from field to support troubleshooting activities with the Modern Railway System Test Teams Electrical equipment product selection review against specifications Creating test forms and developing technical documentation Cloud application workflow integration (Box, Smartsheet) Validate and identify scope items that will require SE support Collect proper customer inputs received for tasks Define proper output from systems engineering prior to design delivery Reviewing, developing and documenting the Requirements Traceability Management (RTM) to ensure requirements are proper Reviewing of product procurement to verify compliance with project requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering Degree preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good organization and communication skills Strong Time Management skills Work with a diverse group of individuals and organizations representing public agencies, private utilities, subcontractors and suppliers Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint COMPANY BENEFITS & PERKS Medical, Dental and Vision Plans Annual Raises and Bonuses Life Insurance Plan Generous 401k contribution 100% Employee owned Volunteer Time Off PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
