What we need:
We are looking for Quality Engineer (I or II) to join our dynamic team to improve our QMS processes, aid in product planning and validation, and meet our objectives and customer expectations. We are a provider of precision parts for aviation, space, defense, automotive, and medical industries. A AS9100D/ISO9001 and Nadcap certified company, looking for team players like you to participate in our growth. The starting rate for this position is $59,000 - $86,000 annually, depending on experience.

Job Requirements:

Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure and report on the effectiveness of the quality system.
Prepare and facilitate training on our QMS and introduce new or changing requirements.
Introduce new and innovative approaches to continually improve our quality system and processes.
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees at all levels across APP.
Manage, coordinate, conduct and execute an effective audit program of our quality management system and processes to determine its effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Key point of contact with customers and regulatory bodies for quality issues: drives effective organization containment and corrective action processes to support product or quality system failures.
Manage first, second-, and third-party compliance audits of our processes.
Assign and perform internal quality and process audits.
Train employees in quality procedures.
Analyze data to identify trends and plan for improvement.
Create reports from to inform and update leadership.
Facilitate cross-functional groups in FMEA, PFMEA, PPAP and Control Plan development process and global training of these tools.
Initiates and approves manufacturing and inspection planning, as required, ensuring compliance with Company and Customer contractual inspection requirements. Additionally, reviews and approves first article inspection reports and submits same to the Customer when required.
Disposition of discrepant material.

Skill Requirements:

Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment as needed.
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
Bachelor of Science in any Engineering area.
Occasional travel with overnight stays.
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods to ensure appropriate application and analysis of data. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
Experience with an ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS).
