We're hiring a team of product managers who will define and execute on our vision of being the world leader in online grocery. You'll work among star engineers, designers, data scientists and operators in a fast-growing environment. The role demands a mix of critical thinking, well-honed product sense, and technical depth.


The Instacart Growth + Pricing team is seeking a Group Product Manager, Marketing Platforms. This product management lead will build and lead a team of Product Managers to develop the platforms that help Instacart acquire and engage millions customers and shoppers, managing $xxxM in annual spend. They will partner closely with the Marketing leadership team and help develop the strategy for the platform investments that Instacart can make to enhance our customer acquisition and engagement efforts, including paid marketing, SEO, CRM and incentives.
As Group Product Manager, Marketing Platforms, you will work with an exceptionally talented team of PMs, engineers, designers, data scientists, and marketers in a fast-paced environment. As a Product Manager you will:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of product managers, engineering (including data engineering and ML) and data scientists

  • Drive product definition, strategy, and long term vision for platform initiatives to acquire and engage customers and shoppers to Instacart

  • Communicate and align product plans with Marketing leadership and team

  • Set the bar for platform product management within the Growth team, mentoring PMs to develop their skill in this area and establishing critical team processes

  • Identify the biggest problems to solve leveraging cross-functional input, data and prioritize analytically

  • Enable engineering, ML, data science and data engineering to develop innovative solutions to important business problems


  • A minimum of 8+ years in Product Management or Marketing, with 4+ years of that in Product Management and 1+ years as a PM manager

  • Experience developing large-scale platforms, including making build/buy decisions

  • Deep understanding of marketing tech/ad tools and landscape

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems by bringing together customer needs, technology capabilities and business impact

  • Passion for building excellent platforms that serve internal and external customers

  • Experience partnering with engineering and data science on developing, evaluating and deploying machine-learning or data science models
