Job Summary:

Support the day-to-day functions of the Risk Management department. As an employee owner, act in the company’s best interest and in support of the organization’s overall goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Insurance Support:

· Assist with insurance policy renewals including collecting required data from various departments within the organization.

· Review company, client and/or subcontract insurance policies for limits, deductibles, coverages, and exclusions.

· Review company, client and/or subcontract insurance certificates for limits, deductibles, coverages, and exclusions.

· Review bid specifications for comments and compliance.

· Maintain and identify Self-Insured Retention (SIR) exhaustion or concerns for the company and subcontractor responsibilities.

· Confirm and update insurance information for captive.

· Create, monitor, and assess other monthly reports, projections, etc. as necessary to meet insurance compliance and needs.

· Assist with OCIP/CCIP and SDI Enrollments and closeouts.

· Review and track CCIP Program Credits for all Subcontractors.

· Process project specific Payment and Performance Bonds.

· Obtain and track Builder’s Risk coverage, per project.

· Issue project specific insurance exhibit.

· Process title searches by project to prepare and file preliminary notices and information sheets.

· Review, request, maintain, and track insurance policy information where applicable to our company’s business software database.

· Provide operational support to Project Team in reviewing subcontractor insurance documentation and corresponding with insurance industry to bring insurance into compliance with contract requirements.

· Communicating with Project Teams and/or Operations on a routine basis.

· Contract, bid, and prequalification reviews and responses.

· Assist with training Project Teams on compliance of corporate policies and procedures as they relate to Insurance for projects utilizing standard insurance procurement on non-CCIP/OCIP projects.

· Become familiar with state laws as they relate to insurance.

· Maintain Insurance status.

· Participate in regular training sessions to become subject matter expert and to keep up to date with compliance issues in the industry.

Litigation and Claim Support:

· Track and coordinate the gathering of information required to submit prior to the deadline.

· Review incoming claim status updates from counsel, insurance adjusters, etc.

· Assist and/or take lead with litigation, including documentation production and research requests.

· Assist and/or take lead with document production and other discovery requests.

· Assist and/or take lead with follow up actions on claims.

· Review, request, maintain, and track claim information where applicable to our company’s business software database.

· Assist and/or take lead with reporting of all claims.

· Review loss runs and reserves.

· Monitor status of all claims.

· Attend claim reviews as needed.

Other Duties:

· Prepare content materials as needed for meetings, presentations, trainings, etc.

· Produce reports in support of compliance and audits.

· Provide training and education on basic insurance and claims to various team members.

· From time to time, cover other team members when that person is out of office.

· Assist with prequalification of subcontractors.

· Perform any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified duty that may be needed from time to time.

Experience and skills:

· Broad and deep knowledge of construction insurance, including Builder’s Risk/Property, Auto, GL, SDI, Professional, Pollution, Cyber, etc.

· BS in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related field. High School diploma required and can be combined with work experience on a 3-1 basis in lieu of degree.

· CRIS designation required.

· Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

· Critical thinking skills and analytical skills, ability to work with diverse team, and work independently.

· High attention to detail, aptitude for learning new things and must be able to work under pressure.

· Computer knowledge and proficiency, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Prolog, and Bluebeam.

· Broad understanding of industry.

· Ability to multi-task.

· Functions effectively as part of a team.

· Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· 5+ years related experience in the insurance and/or construction industry required.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
