Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a dynamic System Administrator to perform critical system design and implementation of U.S. Government accredited classified systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance for critical systems supporting the engineering and manufacturing operations. Our system administrators partner with the business to deliver effective solutions and solve challenging that directly affect our customer’s success and contribute to the National Security mission.

Essential Functions:

• Candidate will be responsible for administration, monitoring, and maintenance of computers and servers at the application, operating system and infrastructure level including operating system and application patching.
• The System administrator will also be responsible for management of Windows domains (including Windows and Linux OS client machines), and local system and application accounts as well as ensuring system backups are completed and that the security plan requirements per ICD 503 RMF standards are executed properly.
• Responsibilities also include triaging and resolving issues and problems identified and recorded in the incident management system as well as recommending enhancements to the enviornment to the IT leadership and Information System Security team and implementing approved changes with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers.
• The system administrator will also assist the Information Systems Security team in the execution of the Continuous Monitoring Strategy defined in the System Security Plan.

Qualifications:

• Minimum US Top Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years (or equivalent) of prior relevant experience. Experience supporting Windows operating systems, virtual enviornments, and backup solutions.
• Support and management of Windows systems and domains including DHCP and DNS services is required.
• General understanding of hardware components and maintenance activities for computers and servers.
• Knowledge of network concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VLANS and general network equipment management.
• The ability to lift 30lb in order to support equipment installation and deployments.
• Have current a Security+ CE (or higher qualification).

Preferred Additional Skills:

• TS/SCI Clearance with Poly highly desired.
• Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco (to include CCNA), and Redhat a plus.
• Additional preferred skills include: experience with Microsoft and VMWare hypervisors and high availability / fault tolerance concepts, managing backup solutions such as BackupExec/CommVault, SQL Server support and deployment and management of mass storage types such as NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SAS. Experience developing, deploying and maintaining Windows and Linux environments in an accredited enviornment, including implementing DISA STIGs.
• Ability to work in a loud environment without access to personal devices.
• Ability to respond to business requests by gathering requirement and designing and implementing solutions from those requirements a plus.
• Managing linux enviornments is also helpful.
• Scripting experience (Bash/Shell, Python, Perl, Powershell) in a system administration environment.
• Experience with Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence) and similar toolsets used in a DevOPS environment

In compliance with California’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in California is $86,500 - $160,500 (salary ranges in other locations could differ).
