Description
Today, Electronic Warfare (EW) is a growing enterprise - protecting the warfighter and our national security against ever-adapting threats. The Leidos Innovations Center (LInC) at Leidos currently has an opening for a senior software
engineer to support an exciting new program in San Diego which utilizes novel
machine learning concepts and techniques to advance the state of the art.
You will lead a team of software developers to implement advanced signal processing and
machine learning algorithms and develop operational software.
This includes developing new software solutions to interface with new and existing RF hardware. He/she is expected to perform the full range of task lead functions to include developing new software
engineering concepts/methodologies, implementing complex signal processing/
machine learning algorithms, testing and deploying a real-time operational prototype system. The selected individual will be responsible for using sound software
engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant, and reusable, including providing software process
management and control throughout the coding portion of the
software development process.
Regular tasks will include:
Attending regular customer meetings and leading technical discussions/program reviews
Developing test plans and documentation to support lab and field tests/demonstrations
Designing, implementing, and testing real-time C/C++ software for multi-core systems running Linux or a real-time operating system
Implementing advanced signal processing and
machine learning algorithms for processing large volumes of RF data
Optimizing software for high-volume data analysis, real-time processing throughput, and robust performance on advanced hardware platforms.
Programming in languages such as MATLAB, C/C++,
Python
Analyzing existing algorithms and software to develop improvements in fidelity, sensitivity, and efficiency
Providing robust, scalable, configured software solutions in full-stack
software development and deployment environments
Designing, implementing, and testing software to interface with RF hardware devices
