Position Summary:

We are looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our growing engineering team to support the configuration, automation, and deployment of DevOps infrastructure software necessary to deploy mission essential applications. Some of the duties pertaining to the Cloud Systems Engineering position can be performed remotely but the candidate will be required to be physically present at the customer site when expected by the customer. This position entails working with Application Providers and assisting in the Integration, Testing, and Evaluation of their applications in an AWS Gov Cloud environment.

Basic Functions:

• Capable of creating AWS Linux and Windows based instances
• Familiar with creating VPCs, Security Controls, Instances, etc in AWS
• Familiar with using Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins with a DevOps pipeline
• Experienced in pushing docker images into Docker registry
• Experienced in writing Lambda scripts
• Experienced in deploying Openshift or Kubernetes in AWS
• Experienced in deploying Docker images and configuring them in Openshift or Kubernetes
• Able to troubleshoot pod issues deployed in Openshift or Kubernetes
• Experienced in administering Linux and Windows based servers
• Able to leverage Terraform to build and configure AWS instances
• Experienced in writing Ansible Playbooks to configure Linux or Windows based systems
• Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
• High level problem-solving and communication skills.
• Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
• Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
• Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
• Understand processes by completing assigned training materials and blueprints.
• Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.
• Generate status reports

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience:

• Master’s degree and 3 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of IT experience; OR and Associates degree and 7 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of IT experience is required
• Has at least 3 years experience with administering Docker
• 3+ years programming with Javascript and/or Python
• OPERATING SYSTEMS: Linux, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 or greater
• Certification: Linux+, or MCSA, Security+
• Virtualization: VMWare
• Cloud: AWS
• Programming/Language: JSON, YAML, Ansible, Terraform
• Software: Openshift, Docker, Git, Jenkins, Jira
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation
• Current and active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Pay: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
