Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will be working on a complex system comprised of firmware, embedded, desktop, and server applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The Senior Software Engineer will be working on developing apps to communicate to and from a REST windows server.
• These areas will include front-end and back-end software using C#, C++ and SQL Server Express. Strong software architecture, design, and development skills are essential.
• Daily activities would include creating new features in C#, C++ applications running on Windows 10 tablets and Windows servers.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Experience architecting and designing UI, network and event driven systems
• Experience developing in C/C++ and C#
• Must be hands on willing to take a part equipment to diagnosis complex mechanical/electrical/software related issues
• Experience with OOPs and software design patterns
• Senior level experience with SQL and data modeling.
• Experience in asynchronous network development and REST networking is a strong plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
• Ability to fully support R&D group and Quality department by building quality into all aspects of work and by maintaining compliance to all standard operating procedures
• Must be able to work independently and work well with cross-functional team members
• Must be able to debug and test complex issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Must have experience with defect tracking and configuration management systems

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience
• Minimum of 5 years of C# software development experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires travel 5% of the time

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• This is largely a sedentary role.
• This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Salary Range: $96,000-1$29,000
