Our experienced staff of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Specialists, Parent Partners and other therapists/counselors provide case management, mental health care and a range of support services in our outpatient clinics and 24/7 treatment facilities, and in community settings such as schools and homes. Our dedicated teams work collaboratively and in partnership with family members, school administrators and faculty, county social workers, case managers, probation officers and other community-based agencies.

JOB SUMMARY: This position performs a wide variety of clerical tasks including duplicating, sorting and light typing. Processes personnel documents and keeps personnel files current and complete at the direction of the HR Coordinator. Sorts, dates, and logs mail, and acts as receptionist for the facility. Handling extensive personal and confidential information is an essential job function of this position.



High school graduate or equivalent required.


Six (6) months general clerical and telephone answering experience required.

Six (6) months experience in processing and maintaining personnel records, preferred.

License or Certification


Specialized Skills

Ability to interact and communicate verbally with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents, other staff, physicians and the public.

Demonstrated familiarity with telephone consoles.

Ability to type 40 words per minute on computer or typewriter.

Demonstrated public relations skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit most of the working day.

Potential for neck strain from cradling telephone and minor lacerations from paper cuts.


Demonstrated knowledge of response to assaultive behavior.

Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets particular to departmental hazards.



1. Manually creates new employee files, filing various confidential personnel documents and maintaining files in a neat and orderly fashion.2. Monitors employee Group Insurance Programs, ensuring that all necessary forms are completed and processed with the monthly statement.

3. Visually and audibly monitors lobby area and visitors through glass before permitting access to the facility.

4. Acts as the receptionist, greeting visitors, ascertaining their needs and directing them to appropriate staff.

5. Answers all incoming telephone calls directing them appropriately, obtains out of area numbers for appropriate staff, and takes messages for absent staff.

6. Provides employment applications for applicants and checks application for completion before directing it to the Administrative Assistant.

7. Processes all incoming mail, including opening, sorting, logging and distributing.

8. Stamps all outgoing mail as needed.

9. Maintains current and orderly bulletin boards in the staff lounge.

10. Posts job openings on staff lounge bulletin board.
