Position Summary

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Lead Web Developer is expected to consult, design, develop, and deliver resilient web solutions for both internal and external audiences. Position will take on existing assets and continue to develop and deploy enhancements to the platforms along with stack upgrades and patch management with the opportunity to revolutionize the current platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce DevOps best practices
• Create roadmaps for individual projects and long-term path for sustainability
• Use of various technologies to create and manage the full-stack
• Required to have strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms
• Required to understand the complexities of business model(s) to consult the general user group of the pros/cons/considerations/challenges of leaderships’ feature requests
• Conduct ongoing monitoring, upgrades, and patching to help mitigate security threats
• Understand tasks may lead after-hours and/or into weekends/holidays
• Ability and willingness to mentor end-users and peers
• Expected to pay attention to detail on both back-end logic and front-end aesthetics to the end-user
• Expected to perform end-to-end testing at a high level before releasing the product to the requesting user group for user acceptance testing

Preferred Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer Information Systems
• AWS Certification(s)

Qualifications and Technical Requirements

• 5 years experience in the following technologies;
• Databases: MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• AWS Tools: EC2, ECR, ECS, WAF, S3, RDS, CloudFront
• Back-End: GitHub, Terraform, Linux, NGNIX, Code Ignitor, Boot Strap, PHP, Python, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, Node.JS, Web services / API’s, OAuth
• Front-End: PHP, Python, Flask, OpenAPI, Pony, React.js, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, HTML
