Fast growing Northridge, CA based AS9100 Certified Aerospace Defense Company/Machine Shop is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and consistent Quality Control Supervisor to join our team. We’ve manufactured complex machined components for Prime Aerospace/Defense Companies for over 48 years. Position Overview: The Quality Control Supervisor will maintain a complete QC program in accordance with AS9100, will be responsible for the Quality Inspection Process, and will ensure the quality of our products are complaint to customer requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment and provide the highest level of work ethic Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Maintain a complete QC program in accordance with AS9100 Lead a team of Quality Inspectors/CMM Programmers to perform all aspects of Inspection Supervise Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection, First Article Inspection Provide effective and efficient means of identifying and correcting problems throughout the entire scope of operations Develop and coach Inspectors/CMM Programmers Implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products Collaborate with the Quality Systems Manager, and other Key Managers to help improve the Quality of our products, and to reach company goals REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Proven leadership experience Bachelor’s degree highly desired Five (5) years’ experience performing quality control management functions in the Aerospace/Defense Industries Ten (10) years’ experience of aerospace/defense manufacturing, CNC 5 Axis manufacturing environment, AS9100 and First Article Inspections Strong CMM Programming ability, with extensive Knowledge of PC DIMIS Software Strong blueprint reading, engineering drawings, and process specifications interpretation skills Possesses strong analytical skills Ability to use precision measuring instruments and calibrations Knowledge of the materials, products, and the commodity assigned areas of specialization Working knowledge utilizing ERP system, preferably Job BOSS Strong verbal and written communication skills Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and parts on all types of standard and special products Intimate knowledge of AS9102, AS9100 Strong problem-solving skills and proficient use of common quality methodologies such as process certification, PPAP, Six Sigma, and Root Cause analysis and corrective action Must have a high sense of urgency, the ability to meet schedule requirements, and awareness of Quality Department’s business impact PAY Pay is based on experience Shift Days Monday-Friday and in some cases Saturdays Benefits 401K Competitive Pay Holiday Pay Paid Time Off Health Care Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Work Location: One location
