- Design and develop complex acoustic systems, components, and assemblies for consumer loudspeaker applications using FEA, BEM, prototyping, and advanced engineering methods (e.g., Transducer, Network crossover development, Port design and tuning, and Cabinet specifications).
- Define and test acoustic performance using the latest techniques.
- Research new technologies and solutions and perform experiments to determine potential design feasibility or application.
- Create engineering documentation to support the definition, design, performance, and testing of loudspeaker products and technologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in audio-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience and 5+ years related acoustic engineering experience.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental acoustic engineering principles.
- Proficiency in the use of analytical tools such as finite element analysis (FEA) methods, and other modeling and simulation tools for the design of acoustic devices such as COMSOL.
- Background in applied acoustics such as loudspeaker design.
- Master’s Degree in Acoustic Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical degree.
- 10 years of experience in loudspeaker design, modeling, and analysis.
- 3 years of experience in designing active high-performance loudspeakers.
- Proficiency in loudspeaker measurement techniques, methods, and equipment
- Understanding and experience with sound system design, room acoustics, and system tuning fundamentals.
- Willingness to work at our Engineering Lab in Northridge, CA.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
- Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test as a condition of employment.
- The standard base salary range for this position is $118,800 - $145,200 plus applicable bonus.
