Position Summary:
As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills in a variety of areas while working on a data-focused team. On this team, you will be help architect and deliver a wide variety of code artifacts. You may work on and help architect Data Engineering solutions using various AWS native service and Terradata platform. In addition, you’ll gain experience in CI/CD by utilizing Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. Our group has a focus on full cycle engineering – requirements to production support – this means you will have an opportunity to work on a variety of problems to solve while gaining Big Data experience.

You may work on/build automated data pipelines, front-end tools and dashboards to display that data in meaningful ways, and APIs that allow other organizations to consume your data and services.

You will be challenged to:
Help design, create, and manage continuous delivery pipelines for your team’s code and deliverables using Jenkins/GitHub/Udeploy/Airflow/Terraform.

Design and Develop Data engineering and Analytical solutions using AWS, Data Bricks and Teradata platform.

Constantly look and evaluate new technologies to see if they can bring value to the organization.

A desire and willingness to learn will be the deciding factor for applicants. Ideal applicants will be eager to work in a wide variety of domains and want to learn a great deal in each. They will have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies and form their own opinions about their applications. Since their work will span many different domains, they must have excellent communication skills, as working in isolation will simply not be an option. Finally, they will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the data, analytics, and engineering organization, and thus will be able to identify areas needing improvement and drive the effort to improve them.

Your team will act as your mentors and you will not be expected to know all of the technologies listed. Applicants with some exposure to Python, SQL, GraphQL and REST APIs, Angular, Node, RXJS, AWS/Google Cloud will have a head start.

Qualifications:
Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

High School diploma or equivalent required.

College degree preferred.

Full-stack solution design, Python, SQL, Jenkins, GIT, Airflow, AWS Services (Glue, Athena, Lambda, API gateway, Step Functions).

Terraform or cloud formation.​

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 86,300 - 143,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
