The senior software engineer is a key member of technology team and is responsible for designing, development, testing and maintaining high quality technology solutions that will deliver an excellent solutions and services for Skechers global e-commerce business and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years extensive hands-on coding experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, and passionate to create and build the enterprise level applications with modernization architecture. software.

Essential Job Results-

• Design, build, and maintain custom software that aligns with company goals
• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, critical, and complex software services such as microservices and APIs to meet the needs of the business
• Step-in to troubleshoot challenging production issues, able to quickly solve and deploy the solutions to production
• Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate and design software architecture
• Assess and recommend the use of appropriate technologies and structure applications for maintainability and architectural alignment
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and ensure the best coding practice and SDLC is performed in their daily job
• Elevate the quality of engineering by conducting code reviews, improving documentation, encouraging automation and testing
• Drive team improvement by reviewing current technologies, proposal & set technical direction and establish best practices
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business requirements, provide solutions, translate their needs into design specs, and implement them to production
• Assist with QA to ensure all user test cases are defined and tested.

Job Requirements

• 8+ years of full-time software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with backend server language Python/Java, Scala is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in developing REST APIs with JSON, HTTP protocol, Postman and/or curl
• 3+ years of experience with Cloud Platform AWS ECS/Lambda, API Gateway or GCP
• 3+ years of experience with Docker and container orchestration systems such as AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate
• 3+ years of experience with AWS CloudFormation and CodeDeploy for CI/CD pipelines
• Proficient in using SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and CloudantDB or MongoDB, Redis is a plus
• Proficient in using software developing tool including Git, Jenkins and Postman
• Deep knowledge of software engineering design patterns, architecture and best practices
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development environment
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to lead a team of software engineers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an independent worker with high degree of self-motivation

Education and Experience-

• B.S. or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of working software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Java and/or Python.
• 5+ years of experience of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript and/or Groovy.
• 2+ years of experience Linux, Windows, SQL and NoSQL database systems
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and SQS a plus.
• Experience integrating with 3rd party APIs.
• Ability to communicate complex topics with precision and accuracy.
• Ability to categorize and communicate requirements accurately and effectively.
• Experience working directly with business facing groups outside of development is a plus.
• Experience working within an Agile team a plus.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $160,000/year
