Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal/Staff Software Verification Lead with the Software Engineering organization based out of Redondo Beach, CA.
The Sr. Principal /Staff Software Verification Lead will guide the verification effort onsite, in Redondo Beach, CA, in both open and closed environments. The selected candidate will work closely with Systems Engineering (SE) on requirements and high-level tests. They will support releases, run for records, test plan/release, test report documentation, VCRM, etc.
The candidate will interface with customers on requirements, coordinate changes flowed down from SE, identify testing gaps or scope savings opportunities. The Verification Lead will also be responsible for addressing any issues that arise during integration and coordinate with the integration lead to ensure test integrity is maintained.
The Verification lead will report to the SW IPT Lead and work alongside the design and integration lead for sprint planning and will manage all verification related tasking in JIRA. They will oversee and guide the continued development and upgrading of the test infrastructure, development of tests, define and maintain regression suites, and serve as lead reviewer.
In addition to leading the verification effort, the selected candidate will be required to also work alongside the team, in the weeds, and burn down technical story points.
This role requires candidates to be onsite daily with no option for remote/hybrid work.

Basic Qualifications - Sr. Principal Engineer Verification Lead:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 9 plus years of embedded software development experience, or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 plus of embedded software development
Experience with verification, Python, C++, Git, Atlassian Tools, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Experience in embedded Flight Software in Linux Environment
Experience with leading agile teams
Active TS / SCI Clearance
Basic Qualifications - Staff Principal Software Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 14 plus years embedded software experience, or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of embedded software development
Experience verification, Python, C++, Git, Atlassian Tools, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
Experience in embedded Flight Software in Linux Environment
Experience with leading agile teams
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
Expert level skills in multiple programming languages including C,C++,C#, Java, or Python
