We are currently seeking a Fraud Risk Manager to support our business group. As the Fraud Risk Manager, you will be responsible for Manage Fraud Risk Program and manage teams of fraud analysts supporting to review of potential fraud across carious channels. The positon will be hybrid and requires 2 days per week onsite in Los Angeles. Build and Manage Fraud Management Build and manage teams of fraud analysts supporting the review of potential fraud across various channels (i.e., internal fraud, electronic payments, online banking, deposit/check fraud, identity theft, etc.). Establish and manage relevant KPls/KRls to provide the appropriate level of management visibility and oversight. Lead the fraud management process with the right balance of customer and risk focus with a goal of mitigating bank losses while not losing sight of unnecessary customer friction. Develop, review, identify, assess, and enhance fraud management policies, procedures, process design and controls. Implement a case management structure leveraging an enterprise-wide solution or outside of a solution in the short-term. Drives ongoing improvement through engagement with key partners such as risk operations, compliance, risk management, 3rd party vendors and consultants to continuously review and improve fraud strategies, mitigate risk, and reduce fraud related losses while keeping the customer experience top of mind. Build and maintain relationships within industry of fraud & risk management professionals. Understand the functionality, infrastructure, and usage of the bank's fraud monitoring capabilities (traditional and online) with a high degree of subject matter expertise. Perform other duties as assigned. Must stay current with new fraudulent activities that may breach the organization’s security measures. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. Capable of resolving escalates issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Facilitate Operational Risk Management Coordinate with Enterprise Risk team, Regulatory Compliance Team and BSA/AML/OFAC team to prepare consolidated enterprise risk management monitoring dashboard Serve as the assistant management liaison for appointed Operational Risk Committee Facilitate RCSA documentation Conduct and update RCSA documents periodically Prepare Fraud Risk report document to be presented to the Operational Risk Committee (ORC), Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC) and Board Risk Committee (BRC), including overarching risk exposure and control integrity of the entire organization Prepare periodic fraud risk monitoring and dashboard reports to the Enterprise Risk Governance Officer and the Chief Risk Officer Implement fraud risk control and monitoring program Facilitate business owners to develop risk monitoring reports to measure effectiveness of control environment Train and facilitate business owners to identify key preventive controls and detective controls to be periodically tested and monitored by them or by the independent third party Assist Enterprise Risk Governance Officer in developing a cohesive fraud risk training program Assess additional training needs and evaluate available resources Job Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in Fraud risk management experience in overall fraud policy, operations or strategy and 3 years in a risk/compliance management position. Direct experience with the executive management, regulators, auditors, consultants in the industry. Superior level of subject matter expertise working in fraud management across various payment channels. Must exhibit exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. Superior multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize in a frequently changing environment. Experienced in digital channels with emphasis on web/mobile authentication, anti-fraud technology and activity-based alerting. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; professional communicator with the ability to present to senior and executive level management. Ability to influence change through presentation of facts and data. Ability to effectively manage deliverables and drive execution against project timelines and requirements Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or regulatory inquires. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, employees, regulators, or board members. Reasoning Skills: Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in operational process Comprehensive knowledge of bank products, processes and market practices that adopted and utilized by over $10 billion in assets.
