Homeward is reinventing the way that landlords manage their properties by digitizing and automating the property management and landlord industry. Our product is currently offered on mobile and web and allows for landlords to manage their teams and tenant including tenant payments, communication, maintenance requests, tenant screening and more. We are currently operating with landlords across the United States and are looking to scale our core product offering.
About the Role
Homeward is looking for an engineering leader to help manage and guide the technology team responsible for our payments and backend infrastructure. Our small and nimble team is looking for a technologically savvy individual to help manage a team of US and abroad engineers and establish a system of code-reviews, quality assurance and quality control and help implement and track scrum and sprint planning.
Your Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the CEO and Head of Product to build timeline and strategy for features
  • Design test and develop all new products
  • Maintain and update existing products to help with growth of users and scale of product
  • Contribute to codebase
  • Foster a community of engineering excellence that includes code-reviews and thoughtful and complete technical logic
  • Research and implement the best technical systems on the market to accelerate the speed and accuracy of development
What we are looking for
  • 1 – 3+ years of engineering management of an engineering team of 4+
  • Experiencing managing an offshore engineering team
  • Practical experience with JavaScript, React, or React Native
  • Worked as a software engineer and have a deep empathy towards engineering happiness
  • The ability to motivate a team through delivery on aggressive schedules and goals.
  • A fascination in how to make teams and people thrive and an enjoyment in learning and diving into the deepest levels of how things work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,646.00 - $156,048.00 per year
