Pluto TV is looking for a Director of Engineering, Content Services to provide key full-stack software leadership for development of a new and improved advanced content and video asset management system for our video services on mobile, web and TV platforms.
Responsibilities Include
Software development leadership of an onshore and offshore team with responsibility for development of a new and improved advanced content and video asset management system for our video services on mobile, web and TV platforms.
Responsible for overseeing all four Content Services teams: CMS, MAM, CFeeds and Rights Management. Hiring, leadership and mentoring.
Architectural oversight of the entire content management pipeline from licensing and ingestion, through to scheduling and distribution.
Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking
Experience with video formats and protocols (MP4, HLS, DASH, DRM), content management (video content rights management)
Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL systems, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Recent experience using React, TypeScript, NodeJS, Express
Technical hands-on software architecture experience
10+ years experience in the industry as a developer
5+ years in the industry as a manager, mentor and/or team lead
Experience working on a variety of video streaming platforms
Experience handling high-traffic applications and high-complexity use cases
