The role of the Enterprise Search product owner will be responsible for curating business demand for the search platform that scans a multitude of internal and external data sources to expose data and deliver insights our people need to find information, solve problems and serve clients effectively. This product owner will collaborate with a broad range of knowledge and systems stewards to curate, retrieve/index, and monitor content.

Demonstrates intimate-level abilities and/or a proven record of success managing efforts with identifying and addressing client needs, emphasizing the following:

  • Demonstrating intimate knowledge of, and/or success directing, multiple facets of data and business intelligence, data engineering, design and implementation, data governance and information risk management, data lifecycle management, and the use of technology and tools related to data and analytics;
  • Staying current with the Business Intelligence technical landscape to stay relevant to our customers and competitive with the external environment; and,
  • Providing in leading search capabilities, data indexing, and analyzing structured and unstructured data.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by:

  • Demonstrating proven intimate abilities and success with identifying and articulating business problems in the form of functional, data and technical requirements, and innovative thought leadership in the creation of data products and solutions;
  • Driving the implementation of the enterprise search product roadmap in coordination with the enterprise search product manager and business analysis teams;
  • Creating and managing the enterprise search data engineering team’s backlog and directing development prioritization and outcomes;
  • Managing a small team of business analysts and developers to rapidly provide answers and direction to engineering team questions and blockers;
  • Developing the quality assurance and user acceptance plan for enterprise search indexed data delivered to business stakeholders;
  • Leading teams to create an atmosphere of trust, leveraging diverse views, coaching staff, and encouraging improvement and innovation; and,
  • Defining and establishing industry leading practices in Agile development as it pertains to roadmap execution with the ability to identify changing global trends and influences as part of the development process.
