As a Solutions Engineer based in Irvine, you will have a unique opportunity to help deliver solutions so that Capital Group can amplify the capabilities of our services and associates. To thrive in this role, you have a background in computer science, a good working knowledge of coding languages such as Java, J2EE or .Net. Additional desired skills or knowledge including functional analysis, HTML, MuleSoft API’s, testing, database applications, Angular, RabbitMQ, and SQL server.

  • You'll interface directly with business users to gather, track, and prioritize business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications
  • You'll analyze and make improvement recommendations to business processes and application features to resolve defects and/or enhance business capabilities
  • You'll participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, designing, coding, testing, deploying, and providing production support of application solutions
  • You'll make recommendations for technical designs that align with technology standards and architectural guidelines
  • You'll identify and help acquire data from a diverse array of sources, map data origin, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of establishing the highest degree of overall data accuracy and usefulness
  • You'll create documentation of system designs and solution blueprints
  • You'll evaluate key interfaces and interdependencies of core application components and systems

  • You are familiar with the software development life cycle, experience with Agile methodologies a plus
  • You have demonstrated your work-ethic outside your normal school course load through internships, part-time jobs, volunteering or participating in extra-curricular projects

  • You are not intimidated by the new and unfamiliar and embrace a learning mindset
