Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer – 'PLM/ALM' (Remote) @ Edwards Lifesciences - Irvine, CA

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer is a fantastic opportunity to join the Software Quality group at Edwards Lifesciences in applying knowledge of software quality engineering to assess risk and compliance issues. Key Responsibilities:
Investigate, recommend, procure, configure, and maintain software development tools, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to our current tools in multiple environments.
Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the cross-functional team including multiple groups (R&D, Quality, IT, Engineering, etc.) working on several different technologies.
Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
Participate in cross functional collaboration and discussions such as Software Change Control Meetings.
Collaborate with stakeholders on the improvements done, rationale behind it and the impact on other parts of the product and trade-offs that have been made.
Develop and perform software documentation for product or non-product software validation deliverables utilizing engineering knowledge.
Work towards achieving 100% automation.
Support internal and external audits.
Train, coach, and guide lower-level employees on routine procedures and processes.
Other Incidental duties

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Scientific, or related fields with 4 years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in same disciplines with 3 years of relevant experience.
Proven working experience in languages like Java, JavaScript, Python and AWS.
Exposure on CI/CD pipeline and version control.
Previous experience with Non-Product Validation.
Experience working within Software Quality, Software Development or V&V (Verification and Validation)

Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Device industry experience
Experience with PLM/ALM tools such as either PTC Windchill RV&S ( highly preferred ), IBM DOORS, HP ALM, Azure DevOps; or similar product/application life cycle management tools
Previous experience with Requirements Management, Risk Management, Test Management and Configuration Management.
Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR Part 11
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite
Passionate about simple and clean code, unit testing and following standard coding practices.
Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
Substantial understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Software Development Lifecycle related to Software Quality Engineering (e.g., CQE body of knowledge) for product and non-product software
Substantial knowledge of business acumen products and software technologies

For California, the base pay range for this position is $101,000 to $142,000 (highly experienced).
