Job Title: Physical Design Manager

Job Location: US- California- Irvine Job Requirements
  • BSEE in Electrical Engineering and, preferably a Master in a technical discipline and/or business.
  • 15+ years of experience in managing, leading, and delivering physical design projects
  • Experienced physical design engineer with a track record of managing and delivering designs from RTL through GDSII
  • Experience with developing complex SoC designs in advanced FinFet process technologies.
  • Strong program management and communication skills, including management of worldwide teams
  • High energy and results oriented. Conveys a sense of urgency to achieve solutions in a timely manner
  • Developing and Fostering Relationships: Build and sustain excellent relationship at multiple levels in the workplace and with customers and partners. Use relationship networks strategically to accomplish objectives, to “get things done”
  • Strong communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Is capable of clearly and concisely conveying information
  • Independent Thinking: Constructively challenge the conventional wisdom or accepted ways of doing things
  • Driving Results: Identify and keep others focus. Convey a sense of urgency and drives issue to closure.

Job Description
The Physical Design Manager is responsible for selling, leading, and managing physical design projects.
The primary responsibilities are:
  • Leading a team that consistently delivers high quality and timely results
  • Managing advanced node physical design projects
  • Responsible for developing proposals, statements of work, and executing necessary NDAs required for Silicon IP and PDK access.
  • Work closely with the EDA software product division and services design center to continually improve productivity, flows and methodologies.
  • Customer relationship partner from sales through working silicon
