SurePrep, a Thomson Reuters company, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer.

You must be able to analyze the current business processes and design applicable solutions while understanding our current technology environment. You will be responsible for analyzing, documenting and speaking to requirements in an Agile environment. You must have the ability to code, develop and create a solution prototype as needed as well as participate in technology selection when applicable. You will partner with Enterprise Architecture and Lead Development team members. Must have experience working with project management teams to ensure vision is met through the project lifecycle.

About the Role


In this opportunity as a .NET Developer, you will:

  • Must be well-versed in .NET Framework and C#
  • Demonstrated experience using key analyst and design methods (including Domain-driven Design (DDD), Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD), Behavior Driven Design (BDD), Test Driven Design (TDD))
  • Excellent initiative, innovative thinking skills, and the ability to analyze details and adopt a big-picture view
  • Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages
  • Test and debug various .NET applications
  • Review and refactor code
  • Document development and operational procedures
  • Extensive development experience with .Net APIs and best practices
  • Works closely with other Solution Architects/Designers/Developers to ensure consistency, compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans, quality of solutions and knowledge sharing
  • Follow Scrum methodology for software development, TDD and DevOps best practices
  • Consistently use PMO prescribed tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Work with Mumbai based API teams
  • Address high priority customer support issues independently
  • Participate in design and architecture of forward-looking projects

About You


You’re a fit for the role of .NET Developer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Ability to deploy code into Azure (or AWS)
  • 4+ years’ experience in software development
  • 4+ years’ experience with Backend Development, .NET Core
  • 2+ years’ experience with JavaScript, Front end tech
  • API development experience
  • Prior experience of working in a large-scale enterprise web application
  • Prior experience of working with teams across the globe
  • Ability to multitask, context switch and work in fast paced dynamic environment
  • Energetic, highly organized and self-driven individual
  • Flexible working hours
  • Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum development project
  • Must have exceptional communication skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of React
  • Knowledge of WPF application development
  • Knowledge of Swagger
  • Experience with Bitbucket/Git

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $70,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
