You will be a part of a team involved in the specifications, design, verification and validation of WiFi IP. The ideal candidate will be master’s/ bachelor’s in electrical engineering with telecommunications / Chip design related coursework/background. You will be involved in the Verilog RTL design and verification of WiFi MAC / Modems. Job Duties: Study IEEE 802.11 standard specification to attain domain knowledge As a part of a team, build test bench environment, test-plans and tests for verification of WiFi designs As a part of the team, review and brainstorm feature specifications for WiFi designs Document specifications, designs, tests and others Requirements/Qualifications: Education requirements Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electronic or Computer Engineering Minimum required skills Self-starter Strong problem-solving skills Coursework / project using the following Digital HW logic design Verilog / System Verilog for design or verification Communication / signal processing Perl / shell scripting Preferred skills Understanding of Makefile (make flow) Knowledge of IEEE 802.11ax (WiFi) Project work / experience of RTL / Silicon design Knowledge of synthesis / timing-analysis (Synopsys) / FPGA tools Travel Time: 0% - 25% Physical Attributes: Hearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around Others Physical Requirements: 80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% walking, 100% indoors Microchip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
