Our software product engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering team. Your experience during all phases of SaaS product development, from collaborating with the UI/UX team on designs to developing remarkable software applications; your ability to create and impart coding standards & guidelines; your attention to detail; – all of these will be critical to our success. Your ability to deliver the best code and your technical leadership will directly support our goal of expanding the customer base and advancing our product roadmap.

We are headquartered in Irvine, CA, but you can work remotely in the United States.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop clean, well-designed, testable, efficient code in C# using Microsoft Azure technologies
• Deliver high quality, performant code with high levels of coverage, low complexity, and low defect rate
• Execute loosely coupled architectural patterns using microservices architectures
• Build new APIs for backend and external consumption
• Improve performance of existing APIs and migrate them to new microservices-based architecture
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports
• Collaborate and communicate well in a cross-functional, distributed team with designers, product managers, developers, testers, and DevOps
• Assist testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems
• Research, develop, define, document & communicate frontend development standards, frameworks & guidelines
• Guide, mentor & coach junior software engineers located both locally & offshore
• Elevate personal technical acumen with teams and department
• Recommend tools needed for high-quality, distributed software engineering
• Experience working as part of an Agile Scrum team and delivering on time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience with back-end development and 2+ years in a lead role
• Experience with one or many of the following: C#, Python, .NET, Microsoft Azure, MS SQL
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or other source code management systems
• Experience with Microsoft Azure-based services such as function apps, logic apps, API management, etc.
• Experience with working in a fast-moving Agile product development team
• Understands the concepts of the CI/CD framework
• Proven experience working in a startup environment for thousands of customers, ideally serving a spectrum of customers from consumers to large enterprises
• Strong technical acumen to think critically and problem solve with back-end architects and developers
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in building internal and external relationships. Solid written and oral communication skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary: $150K to $170K

Full Benefit Package including Medical/Dental/Vision. Nine (9) paid Company Holidays, two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year, forty (40) hours of sick leave per year as further described in the sick leave policy, life and long-term disability insurance, 401k Plan with a match.
