  • Design and continual improvement
    • Assist in the design and fabrication of test fixtures, test setups, and test stands

    • Collaborate with design engineers to develop test requirements and document test procedures

    • Create and update work instructions for new or improved tests

    • Provide recommendations for tooling design and improvement, based on test experience and data

  • Equipment setup and upkeep
    • Setup and checkout of test hardware and instrumentation

    • Source and maintain stock of fittings, transducers, hoses and other test equipment

    • Schedule build and maintenance operations to minimize interruption to production schedule

    • Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Training and expertise
    • Conduct test anomaly investigations and provide resolution

    • Provide technician training and support that involves building, installing, maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting test equipment

    • Setup safeguards to ensure safe use of test equipment

    • Conduct tests with engineers and technicians as needed

    • Understand Raptor engine system to validate value of test setup


  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

  • 1+ years of experience performing high pressure testing

  • 5+ years of experience working in a hands-on technical position


  • Experience in research and development or other fast-paced technical environment

  • Ability to troubleshoot programs and systems and determine root causes and implement fixes

  • Ability to install and use test instrumentation sensors

  • Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and blue prints

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision on tight schedules

  • Knowledge/experience with instrumentation and controls harness design

  • Knowledge/experience with actuators and plumbing (hydraulic/pneumatic - both set up and operation of these systems)

  • Knowledge/experience with pressure systems cryogenic (gaseous and liquid)

  • Knowledge/experience with hydrostatic systems

  • Knowledge/experience working with electrical components and/or systems

  • Knowledge/experience assembling electrical connectors


  • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed

  • Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
