Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Command and Control (C2) Applications development team in the Battlefield Radar and Command and Control (RADC5I) software department in Fullerton, California. The C2 team adopts DevOps processes and other best industry practices along with state-of-the-art technologies and real-time computing architectures to provide next-generation mission-critical command and control capabilities to our customers. The Software Engineer II will be responsible for supporting multiple programs and multiple platforms within our C2 software product line. The Software Engineer II will be expected to perform as an experienced individual contributor, working as part of a high performing Integrated Product Team. Responsibilities include software design, software development, software debugging, and integration and testing. There may be travel opportunities to sites across the United States and internationally to support system integration and test activities. If you're passionate about what you could accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you Qualifications you must have: Typically requires Bachelor’s in in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering field and 2+ years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 6 years of experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience Experience with Java programming. Experience with deploying software on Windows and Linux Operating Systems. Experience working in a team-focused development environment, such as Agile/SCRUM. The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications we value: Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) and related application server technologies such as Oracle Weblogic and Red Hat JBoss. Experience with Java Swing. Experience with relational DBMS and composition of SQL queries. Experience with C/C++ programming. Experience with C# programming. Experience with data distribution technologies. Knowledge of military air and land operations and planning. Knowledge of GIS concepts and technologies. Knowledge of military messaging technologies, and related formats such as USMTF. Knowledge of Link 16, ASTERIX, ICAO, FIXM and other protocols used within airspace management, air defense, and air traffic control applications. Experience with UI Frameworks such as Angular and React. Experience working in a DevOps environment, including automated testing and continuous integration and deployment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation.
