About the Role:
We currently have an opening at our Foothill Ranch, CA (Orange County) facility for a Manager, People Operations.
Develop and lead the TAE Power Solutions People Operations function and support our high-growth group through a new approach to talent acquisition, onboarding, and career development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build a world-class working environment and culture through intentional design-driven systems, solid business strategies, and innovative human capital solutions
- Drive all aspects of attracting and retaining the best people, from employer awareness, talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, performance management, career development, compensation employee perks and benefits
- Workforce planning and continuous improvement, proactively mapping future talent needs for the organization – assessing gap between existing talent and what will be needed in the future, and constantly raising the bar of our hiring quality
- Closely monitor and drive workforce planning to ensure that organization is staffed appropriately to avoid any drops in productivity or support
- Establish learning and development programs to support the growth of our team from new hires and IC's to Managers and senior leaders
- Oversight of People Ops related technology such as ATS and integrations with HRIS – provide direction on merging both systems and capitalizing on the systems capabilities to streamline efforts, implement efficiencies, produce key reports and track recruiting metrics
- Continuous improvement of programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization
- Coach and mentor managers across the company: including help managers drive the culture, proactively identify and reward high performing employees, identifying underperforming employees and directly address performance gaps
- Present, influence, and advise business executives on human resource related matters
- Further strengthen company culture around key metrics - diversity and inclusion, team building, reaching new audiences, and championing success based upon Core Values and Mission
- Prepare reports for senior management using business metrics/established KPIs
- Responsible for planning resources that support recruiting efforts while maintaining/enhancing TAE's employment brand and adhering to compliance standards
- Manage employer branding to accurately convey TAE to candidates of all levels on a global scale
- Manage vendor evaluation, contract negotiations and implementation within HR/Recruiting functions
- Manage career fair participation and partner with Marketing team to ensure purposeful participation w/established outcomes
- Serve as a business partner to drive and deliver on annual HR strategic objectives and goals
- Manage leave of absence administration and accommodation requests for TAE Power Solutions
- Develop and facilitate targeted training content based on business needs and opportunities
- Establish and execute Compensation philosophy and benchmarking for the Company
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Technology, or related fields
- Prior experience using Ultipro/UKG preferred
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and federal legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration
- Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition team and Hiring Managers to define overall hiring process and resource allocation
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with leaders and team members at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability leading HR across geographically dispersed teams
- A proven track record of winning in a highly competitive Talent Acquisition space
- Experience with HR technologies, including ATS & HRIS and a track record of creating/maintaining organizational effectiveness, analysis, and planning tools
- Knowledge of leading-edge diversity and university recruiting/pipelining programs
- Equivalent of a minimum of 5 - 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience and at least five years of international HR experience
- Must have some combination of experience from hardware/software, advanced manufacturing, scaling new ventures, automotive, or energy sectors.
- Comfortable in an early-stage growth environment with inherent ambiguity and lean fast-moving teams
