Lead Pharmacy Operations Analyst

Provides high-quality and cost-effective project management, management consulting, and analytic support services for a broad array of complex pharmacy operations initiatives. Assists clients, project teams and/or groups identifying, resolving, and communicating outpatient pharmacy issues of strategic importance to the organization. Recognized as a subject-matter expert, voice of the business, and stakeholder for outpatient pharmacy business operations. Manages multiple, complex pharmacy projects independently. Expected to operate with sound judgement to make appropriate decisions, escalate as necessary and communicate effectively across a wide variety of business and technical audiences both internally and externally.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Breaks down the program elements into manageable and achievable tasks/activities and create a logical plan (e.g. work plan, storyboard) for an activity or program segment.
- Manages program scope changes and adjust program plan and budget accordingly.
- Identify, address, and keep program leads abreast of potential scope or quality issues.
- Structures and executes basic financial, economic and market analysis analyses independently.
- Identifies/ recognizes change barriers or change issues and escalate to appropriate leadership.
- Documents process flow for existing and future processes.
- Plans and facilitates meetings; makes formal presentations to various senior-level audiences (internally and externally); translates project team knowledge/tools to client.
- Serves as the content expert of the responsible technical area and provides technical assistance and advice.
- Provides leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of programs related to the expertise area.
- May lead a group of consultants, analysts or programmers focused on the delivery of related service/products.
- Acts as a liaison with applicable government agencies, regulatory agencies, other organizations and the media.
- Provides leadership and direction in accordance with the overall strategic direction of the department, facility, service area or region.
- Ensures that reports and information are accurate, timely and consistent, and that they satisfy the clients' needs.
- Prioritizes key milestones, functional assignments and assign time allocations to individuals, project teams assigned to the program and self to achieve the required results.
- Researches key business and operational issues and directs the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; synthesizes analysis and identifies key findings.
- Formulates specific implementation plans and evaluates the effectiveness of actions/programs implemented; develops creative alternative solutions; recommends action steps to team and client.
- Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status. Such changes are generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in Healthcare or related technical field
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, health care administration, operations research, public health administration, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

- Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead professionals through influence and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis.
- Proven leadership skills in project management and consulting.
- Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the operations of KP, health policy trends, and any applicable regulations related to the responsible technical area.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master
- Large systems deployment/change management experience, such as pharmacy systems, member service systems and other operational deployments
- Pharmacy operations experience strongly preferred
- Outpatient Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Pharmacy experience in administrative/support role strongly preferred
- Master's Degree preferred
