What you'll do
As a Deloitte
Tax Java Developer - Senior, you will be responsible for
design, development, debugging, testing, deploying and supporting custom applications and modules that meet
business requirements. Candidate will demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of the client's
business and
tax systems, and for meeting client deadlines.
Position - Key Functions

Develop and maintain software services using the technology stacks including Java JSP, Spring Framework, microservices, enterprise messaging, NoSQL and SQL technologies.

Interact with business analyst/Client(s) to understand business problem(s) being addressed by the project. Review project requirements and assess and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.

Ensure compliance to development standards and firm technology policies. Work with peers to carry out code reviews and other process reviews.

Document and communicate development issues and progress, procedures or test plans as needed.

Interact with development lead and other developers to ensure a consistent approach to software development.

Communicate professionally and effectively to team members, clients, and management.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or similar degree required.

4+ years of progressive experience in developing Java, JSP, RESTful microservices applications. Solid knowledge in Spring Framework, Tomcat, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEA/NetBeans.

Excellent working knowledge with MongoDB development and NoSQL principles. SQL Server experience is also desired.

Good understanding of common design patterns and architectural principles.

Experience with Agile Scrum development process, Git, and popular CI/CD tools.

Well-versed in Linux as a power user.
-
Able to work productively with globally dispersed teams who may come from different cultural backgrounds and are in different time zones.
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:

Experience with HDFS, Spark, HD Insight, or other Big Data and ML implementation highly preferred

Experience working within a professional services environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other
business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,900 to $195,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
