Position Summary As the Web Application Developer, you will support our business by helping to develop the future smart home, from inception to lifetime ownership. This position requires a focus on building the future of the software-defined home, the technology platforms that enable their design and production and working to the Dvele Standard. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Working with the development team to write, manage, debug Support application development, operations, and deployment across multiple systems and stacks Work with company stakeholders to identify application requirements and develop goals and timelines Drive the development process with high standards and consistent documentation Help drive the direction of the company’s technology by keeping up to date on current standards and technologies and taking part in brainstorming sessions to find better solutions to existing problems Help with application architecture development and participate in code reviews for feedback Collaborate with other developers and application stakeholders to achieve the overall vision and fulfill business requirements Can understand and articulate the functionality of the internet, variolous coding languages, and database systems Other job duties as assigned Education | Qualifications | Success Factors Education & Certifications: A High School diploma or GED credential is preferred Qualifications: A minimum of 1 year of experience in web application development or building high-performance web applications is required 2+ years of experience in web application development or building high-performance web applications is preferred Success Factors: The ability to flex between backend, frontend, and on-prem (in-home) systems An understanding of modern technology stacks - including Python/Django & React Experience using and managing PaaS infrastructure A thorough understanding of agile best practices and how to implement them at scale for rapid iteration while maintaining predictability and quality Extensive knowledge of architecture, design, and software principles and practices, including agility and CI/CD Knowledge of software DevOps lifecycles Ability to work in an agile team environment and mentor other developers Knowledge of Python, Django, React JS/Native, Docker, AWS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Git Experience with building and utilizing APIs, as well as configuring and maintaining complex integrations Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly Strong attention to detail and delivery of quality work A team player who is reliable, dependable, and collaborative Seeks out opportunities and effectively communicates ways to improve processes and efficiencies Interest in professional growth and development Must be flexible and adaptable to change in business priorities A sense of pride and ownership in your work and contributions Working Conditions & Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
