You Are:

UST is looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. You should be competent in executing test cases and should be passionate about quality. The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and knowhow to collaborate effectively with domain experts and IT leadership team.

The Opportunity :

• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Create and Organise testing process based on project requirement and manage test activities within team
• Test Estimates and Schedules-. Ensure Test Coverage
• Produce test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports to evidence for testing
• Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
• Ensure Quality of Deliverables
• Report project metrics and status
• Ensure adherence of Engineering practices, processes and standards
• Understand and contribute to test automation/performance testing
• Work with DevOps team, when required; to understand testing framework and QA process for implementing continuous testing
• Manage team utilization

What you need :

• Test software application as defined by the test plan, to validate adherence to requirements specifications.
• Develop and maintain test cases to test the accuracy and stability of software applications
• Prepare test case documents based on documented requirements and consultation interviews with project team and/or client
• Validate the application and replicate defects so that any errors can be identified and corrected
• Expertise in performing test execution, defect detection and test results reporting
• Analyze defects against the software being developed to understand patterns and establish insight for developer team
• Documents test results as per the standards
• Coordinate testing requirements with developers and rest of the project team
• Good comprehension of Functional requirements
• Provide testing related metrics
• Review and provide feedback on test cases created by other team members
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
• Good Oral & Written communication skills
• Good Analytical & problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as a team, mentor team members
