We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Engineer to join our growing organization, as we build out additional capacity. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, and will be responsible for handling routine maintenance tasks as well as more in-depth expansion and continuious improvement projects whilch require technical knowledge. We're looking for a person with a comprehensive knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and steam systems, and the ability to troubleshoot problems in a timely fashion. Refrigriation and HVAC experience a plus. Responsibilities: Directly supervises and leads the Maintenance and Engineering Technicians Manage Engineering, Repairs, and Maintenance Budget interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university with a focus in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline or commensurate experience. Computer skills required: Financial or ERP System Software, Microsoft Office. Computerized Maintenance Management software (CMMS) preferred. Six Sigma Certification, Lean Manufacturing, 5 Whys, Value Stream Mapping Currently operates as a Manufacturing Engineer, Equipment Engineer, Process Engineer, or Maintenance Manager. Experience with manufacturing operations, preferably in food, beverage, or dietary supplement industry. Experience working in companies within FDA quality control system requirements and/or knowledge of FDA, or other similar compliance bodies. BRC preferred. An understanding of the engineering principals and design considerations for various production equipment and processes; especially tanks, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pneumatics, boilers, encapsulation, milling, drying, sterilization, powder or grain handling, and packaging.
