Software Engineer - React Developer

Position Overview
Software Engineer (React/node.js/HTML), who will help to build our next generation of web-based products and services while working closely with other talented engineers. The ideal candidate will be versatile and highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment and teamwork. A background in document management, content management or financial systems is beneficial, as is development experience in an iterative, Agile/SCRUM environment.

Essential Functions

  • As part of a collaborative team, build and enhance web-based business applications for the entertainment industry

  • Work closely with QA, business analysts and customers to design and implement new feature requests

  • Follow best practices related to coding, testing and delivering software using Javascript in a continuous integration environment

  • Develop new features and refactor existing systems to maximize maintainability and code quality

  • Work closely with QA automation engineers to ensure regression and load/performance testing build in as part of CD/CI pipeline


  • Solid experience working with React, Node.js, and related JavaScript technologies

  • Thorough understanding of modern JavaScript and browser APIs

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Understanding of the principles of good UI and UX

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Experience ingesting Restful APIs

  • Knowledge of functional programming paradigms and data structures

  • Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and best practices

  • Experience writing technical documentation, preferred

  • Experience working with modern UI libraries, preferred

  • Experience working with and configuring webpack, preferred

  • Experience working with and configuring docker, preferred

  • Experience with current Reactjs State Management Libraries (redux, etc.), preferred

  • Experience with role and rule-based security and authentication tools and best-practices (single sign-on) , preferred

  • Experience in AWS or Azure or Google Cloud, preferred

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary - Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

  • Schedule must be flexible in order to accommodate client and business needs.
