Software Engineer, Health Equity Tracker @ Morehouse School Of Medicine - Atlanta, GA

Software Engineer, Health Equity Tracker

About the Health Equity Tracker:

The Satcher Health Leadership Institute (SHLI) at the Morehouse School of Medicine aims to be the leading transformational force for health equity in policy and research. We are building a public data and visualization platform that will shed new light on the impact of political and social determinants of health on the COVID-19 crisis and public health outcomes for communities of color and vulnerable populations.
The Health Equity Tracker will capture and collate data covering COVID-19, public health, demography, policy, politics, sociology, law, and more. Our goal is to improve health outcomes by accelerating the policy research, development, and implementation process with easily accessible data exploration and visualization tools. With your help, the Health Equity Tracker will enable policymakers and the communities they serve to identify health inequities in the U.S., their root causes, and mitigation strategies for improving health outcomes.
This project was made possible by a grant from Google.org; the Google.org team will hand off the project to the to-be-hired team in early 2021 (https://satcherinstitute.org/shli-google-grant).
